What is Kaneko Health?

If you've come across this website it's likely that you’ve been referred by a friend or loved one to get help with what you are ‘going through’....the menopause.

You may be experiencing the early stages of perimenopause and want to know what's on the way. Either that or you're in the middle of 'the change' and looking for advice to ease some of your symptoms. Perhaps you want to support a friend or partner going through menopause and you want to understand more about it. Perhaps you are aware of the benefits of HRT (hormone replacement therapy), but your doctor does not want to prescribe it, or the right type of BioIdentical (Body Identical) Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Most physicians practice medicine, but not all practice the art of medicine.

Dr. Shinobu Luisa Kaneko attributes her ability to practice the art of medicine to her eclectic background of having a multiethnic heritage and having lived in several countries throughout her upbringing and education. She is of first generation Japanese-Argentine heritage and has lived in South America, Europe and USA, and is fluent in both English and Spanish.

She started her solo practice in 2003 after completing her internship at LAC-USC and a Family Medicine residency at PIH in Whittier.

Today, Dr. Kaneko is most sought after for her empathic and holistic approach to her patients, seeing them as a whole person and not just as their symptoms. Her own personal experience of being a doctor, spouse, mother of two daughters, a professional business owner, having survived breast cancer during the Covid Pandemic and extensive experience with BioIdentical Hormone replacement has made her especially popular with women seeking a healthcare practitioner who “hears and sees” them.
